Why is a pre-purchase Plumbing Inspection important?

Pre-purchase Plumbing Inspections are conducted by a qualified and experienced plumber. The main objective of a pre purchase plumbing inspection is to provide the client with detailed information on the condition of all plumbing services and fixtures.

As a standard Building and Pest Inspection does not cover Plumbing Inspections, the Plumbing Inspection will provide peace of mind and enable the potential home buyer to have a better understanding of the plumbing condition of the property, and any immediate or future costs to rectify any issues.

What is involved in the inspection?

Identifying any plumbing issues
Checking for any leaking taps or toilets
Examination and testing of the hot water unit
Complete a pressure test on the main hot and cold-water lines to inspect for any water leaks
Complete a pressure & flood test on all showers throughout the property

Visual inspections on all flexible water hoses
To visually inspect the sewer & storm water outlets, if any smells or previous blockages are found then the option to undertake a CCTV camera inspection* of the sewer and storm water lines can be undertaken at a reduced fee
Check for outdated plumbing fixtures

Once the plumbing inspection is carried out, our experienced tradesman will give you immediate feedback and we will provide you with a comprehensive and detailed report on the inspection, which is easy to understand, within 24 hours of the inspection.

The inspection report will include recommendations for any rectification of plumbing problems, hazards and required upgrades to ensure all plumbing fixtures are running and working effectively and efficiently. If required, we will provide written quotes on any recommended upgrades or urgent repairs.
